The New EntrantsDescription
With a focus on entertaining and engaging their audiences big or small these guys have carved out the reputation over the past 3 years for being able to deliver a professional performance every-time whether it be to a crowd of 50 at a private function or a crowd of thousands at an outdoor festival. With a repertoire that offers something for everybody through the decades to the top 40 hits of today. Their deliberate point of difference was to ensure that they did not churn out the "same ole same ole" material that so many other cover bands perform and this is something that has seen them perform at nearly every large festival in the South Island including Kaikoura Seafest 2008/09, Marlborough Wine Festival 2010 & Wild Foods Festival 2010. They continue to add Corporate clients to a list that includes House Of Travel, Ray White Real Estate, PGG Wrightson, Ronald McDonald House, GEN-I, Crown Plaza Hotel, Ravensdown, and many others. They are also the ideal wedding & party band and it really does pay to book in advance to avoid disapointment. THE NEW ENTRANTS really are DANGEROUSLY GOOD ENTERTAINMENT!!!!

These boys rocked our wedding and made our amazing day perfect. Everything from the booking to the setup to the packup was sorted so we could focus on everything else! The performance was outstanding and got everyone up and dancing so much that we didn't want it to end. The acoustic set to start was ideal and the range of songs they delivered suited all our guests. We would thoroughly recommend TNE to anyone wanting a great night. Esther and Chris 24/03/2009
I first spotted The New Entrants at Kaikoura Seafest and thought they were fantastic, so asked if they could play during our Orientation period at Lincoln University. They played the latest popular music with a few 'oldies but goodies' thrown in there too and they kept a huge crowd of students entertained for 4 hours (which is difficult when dealing with uni students with short attention spans)! They were professional, friendly and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend. Laura Hitchon, Events Officer, Lincoln University 09/03/2009
'The New Entrants' band were a huge highlight of our wedding in January this year. They were absolutly fantastic and young and old were on the dance floor the whole night. We didn't want to have to leave early, as the bride and groom, cause we were enjoying the band so much! Corey was extremely professional and encouraging in organising everything and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our guests, Mike and I, recommend T.N.E for any big event-they're awesome! Thanks guys. Anita and Mike Smart Anita & Mike Smart 16/02/2009
We organised the New Entrants to play at our staff Xmas party. We had a crowd of over 300 people - aged 18-60 and these guys had everyone up dancing. We started off with a chilled out acoustic set at the start - and then turned up the volume later on. A great bunch of guys - very flexible! Have had many staff ask for their name to use them for other functions. Thanks heaps! Hazel Barrer 01/12/2008
The New Entrants were very professional with their organization and communication before the gig, and also with the set up at the venue. Having a sound technician in the band ensures that the quality of the sound was optimal! They know how to work the audience, and the line up of songs is extensive enough to engage a diverse crowd. The punters at the LAWSOC Ball didn't want them to stop! The songs are delivered with passion, energy, and skill - the dancefloor was fill within seconds. Thanks heaps guys for a great night! Wow, these guys were fabulous. I have been involved in or responsible for dozens of corporate events over the last few years and heard these guys for the first time recently. They were superb. Professional, timed well, audience aware and quite frankly rocked! They pulled off Bohemian Rhapsody in such style the crowd were electrified. Highly recommended ***** Rank as good as any bands I have seen play the South Island or better. Carolyne Grant, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Ronald McDonald House South Island 16/10/2008
These guys are fantastic! I have seen them out in town playing at various venues and they played at our company Annual Awards in May 2008. Great range of music and they will play whatever you want them too (within reason of course!) We had a real mix of ages at our function of 400 people and I didn't get one complaint of the music not being good. Go the New Entrants, you really rock. Would use these guys over and over again..... Hi Corey, Just a quick note to again say thanks to you and the guys for a huuuge night on Saturday at Westpac for our HOT Awards dinner and party. You guys were fantastic – and as you saw from the size and heaving mass of the dancefloor during your sets, the entire audience absolutely loved it. A thoroughly professional , well executed performance Great mix of music that really suited the whole crowd, and loved seeing it absolutely go off with Sex on Fire and Sweet Child – brilliant ! All in all – a great job, thank you for rockin the house. Hope you’s enjoyed it Also – just wondering if I might be able to get a copy of your nephew’s final video edit if that’s at all possible and agreeable by you. Would love to see it Cheers Thanks once again . Will keep in touch re future gigs Ian Ian Yee | Event Manager | HOT Events | House of Travel Christchurch City Ltd 30/03/09

Corey, I wanted to write to express our gratitude for the wonderful performance at our wedding in Wanaka on Friday 29th January 2010. You guys were absolutely amazing and worked the crowd like true professionals and had everybody, young and old, up dancing right from the start. Later on it was actually quite difficult to find a spot on the dance floor. You guys were very professional to deal with throughout, and we greatly appreciate the effort you guys made to make the trip down to Wanaka, and were honestly blown away by how good you guys are. Everything went according to plan for our big day, and we believe that the top notch performance of the band on the night was just the icing on the cake !!!!! I might be slightly biased, but I’ve been to loads of weddings over the years but I honestly believe that your performance was one of the best I have had the pleasure of witnessing from a band. I have already provided your details to two friends who are both interested in using you guys for weddings which are coming up. Additionally, I will gladly act as a referee and speak to potential customers to tell them how good you are (mob: 021 221 4811). You guys rock !!! Many thanks, Shannon & Rebecca Richardson Wedding 29/01/2010
